today at church we were singing…

praise to the Lord, o let all that is in me adore him!
all that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him.
let the amen sound from his people again, gladly forever adore him.

all that is in me? i am full of baby. full of adoration. full.

all that hath life and breath. oh! that first breath as i pulled Mabel up out of the water and onto my chest. right where she belonged. i can’t wait for that moment with this little one.

i am really looking forward to this last month of having this baby on the inside. it is such a sweet time of expectation. i am so grateful.

p.s.  this is a picture of me carrying M…haven’t uploaded the new one.

  1. That’s a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL picture of you!!

Did you give up complaining for lent?

I’ve observed lent in the past, but our current house church does not and the beginning of it has passed me by. But I think giving up complaining is a fabulous, fabulous idea and a true sacrifice. I’ll do it with you if you like! Did you give up something else already or would you like to join me? 🙂

  2. i have been trying to be mindful of what comes out of my mouth…often it’s only after i’ve said something, that i remember that i’m not supposed to be complaining 🙁

do you know Ann’s blog? her words and images often bring just that sort of awareness to my mornings.
