for many moons i’ve been wanting to use a blog theme that had longer lines, wider columns–like this one.  it had to be free and look clean to my eyes.  but with the new month, i welcome you to the new look!

of course making way for the new means also saying goodbye to the old.  Andy took this lovely picture of M and me at the Columbia River years ago.  i had the intention of changing the picture each season.  but this image became quite connected to the blog for me, and it was hard to find others that i liked as well.

i might get acclimated to this new place by writing every day this month.  these 30 day months are good for that.  and so to celebrate here is a wonder of a video, a wonder of a song.  that fading California light just warms me so.
