sabbath rest
but for the four {cob} walls or flapping canvas sides or the jagged rock sides of a cliff home or the balconied enclosures of a chalet to really become
home
there needs to be a homemaker exercising some measure of skill, imagination, creativity, desire to fill needs and give pleasure.
–Edith Schaeffer in What Is a Family?
I was the first one up this morning, and as I walked about my silent house, I thought “How blessed I am to have this nice place.” It is nothing special, but it is special to me and my family, because it is home. ♥
I always think cob houses look like fairy tale abodes. 🙂
i love the thought of you waking before the rest of the house. i too have been up early these last few mornings. Jojo is nursing around 5:30…then it’s really to early to get up and too late to sleep on. so i get up and put the coffee on and spend a little time with ModPo!
peace keep you at home(hum!)
