So What’s New?

The blog’s got a new home, but really what the difference?  Not much…but let me mention a few of my favorite places:

  • The footers at the bottom of the page–two collections of photographs and a link to Goodreads.  I love having them near to hand.
  • Bigger font size, wider column–a little easier on my eyes.  Bigger pictures too!
  • Pages (like Intuitive Homeschooling) that aren’t in the menu at the top of the screen
  • The new “Work With Me” page!  Work!  Imagine!

There are also affiliate links in the sidebar.  Just one for now–Bootstrap VA has been very helpful and I really do think it’s an excellent resource.  But I’m still not sure I like affiliate links.  We’ll see!

One thing that’s missing is the little sidebar slideshow.  Sorry, Mama.  I installed one, but it loaded so slowly, it sort of made the site break.

There are all kinds of settings that need to be adjusted.  I don’t really know what they are until they start causing problems.  Then I have to figure out how to fix them!  Right now I don’t know how to sign in as “Kortney” in the comments.  So for now you just have to know that onedeepdrawer is me!

All the subscriptions should have been moved…though if you subscribe through WordPress.com (instead of email) you will only see updates in the Reader.  You won’t receive email updates unless you subscribe here too.

Do let me know if you come across things that aren’t working or things you wish were different. I’d love to hear what you think.

    1. The banner deserves its own post! It’s a narrow stripe cape from Saramaka. I read about them before we went in Maroon Arts by Sally Price.

They were popular in the 1940s. But old men still wore them in the village where we lived. When we left, we got a few as gifts! The banner image is a scan of the cloth (of all things!).
