Before We Begin
A little background: I am the homeschooling mama of 3 kids. My oldest will be 9 in a few weeks; my youngest is still nursing. It’s still early days.
I work as a virtual assistant about 15 hours a week. I’ve been working since last December. It’s still early days.
I’m not writing from a place of deep experience. I’m writing what I need to read. I’m sharing what’s worked (and a little of what hasn’t!) for me.
If there’s something that resonates with you, tuck it into your back pocket for those hard days…and leave the rest for another time.
“I’m writing what I need to read.” >>> that’s the best way to do it! Good luck this month!
Ahh, thanks so much, Lisa!
I’m so interested to read this! I work nearly full time from home; but would like to start doing a Bible Lesson Homeschool with my son. So it’s just one “class”; but still seems intimidating since I’ve never done omeschool and don’t feel like I have much time. I’d also love to keep full homeschool as an option if ever needed; but would probably still have to make an income at the same time (even if it was less hours).
Lora, I’m so glad we found each other! If you’ve been feeling like you want to add in a Bible lesson, I say DO IT! Start small, maybe just reading aloud while your son colors. But it’s totally do-able even in the fringe hours. Peace keep you.
It’s still early days for us too, in this homeschool gig (just finished our first year).
Love your list of links, Gale 😉
much love on this beautiful fall day to my ever learning and growing renaissance woman…
