The Wonder Project :: Wear Something

14 October 2016 by Kortney

When I participated in NaNoWriMo and wrote a novel in a month, I wore the same scarf every time I sat down at my desk to write.  I had purchased a rich burgundy silk scarf at a rummage sale in Santa Barbara.  It was warm and luscious.

It was also a visible reminder that it was time to get down to work.

Could you make a shift in what you wear as a sign that it was time to open your eyes and heart to wonder?  I’m not advocating rainbow suspenders; I think socks and scarves make excellent additions to your wonder wardrobe.  No one else even needs to know that there’s any special meaning.

It’s just one more way to make your intention visible.  One more way to make it easier to follow your bliss.  One more way to be your own best mother.
