The Wonder Project :: Take a Class
Taking a class is a quick way to give yourself a Wonder Boost–inspiration, structure, and accountability all in one! It’s also one of my favorite tools! I love the sustained focus over a few weeks. It helps me really connect with ideas over time. I also love the possibility of connecting with classmates. Maybe tracking a hashtag or participating in a link up to see what other people are up to and how they are interacting with the same material.
Here is a list of my favorite classes for sparking wonder. Pick one and dive in!
Journal Boot & Reboot–by far the most inspiring, productive class I’ve ever taken. I return to the class materials a couple times each year. They are a rich source of thoughtful encouragement, a boost to be more curious and to document that curiosity in your journal. Everything that Lori does is worth your attention. 10 Steps to getting Started with Project-Based Homeschooling is, well, a great place to start!
Gratitude Week 2016–from October 31-November 6, Michelle is hosting Gratitude Week. It’s a quiet, reflective pause as we head into the busy Winter holy days. The community of women that participates is amazing–the most creative, generous, thoughtful people that I know online will be participating. You can sign up to get gratitude notes from Michelle (do it! ) and then checkout #GratitudeWeek_2016 on Instagram. I’ll be posting there with thoughts + images much like my Soul Rest series.
A Study in Skulls–we are so excited to start this class on Monday! The list of supplies just tickles me–a computer and a black and white printer, a journal, your favorite pens, scissors, a glue stick, and coloring materials. All my favorites! We are looking forward to making images for our Dia de los Muertos altars. We would love to have you join us!
Creativebug and Skillshare–easy, professional, and accessible. These larger online learning platforms don’t have the intimacy or community of the other resources I’ve mentioned, but they are very worthwhile. I’ve loved classes with Lisa Congdon on Creativebug and Lindsay Crandall on Skillshare.
Phew! That’s a lot of links. I’ll be sharing more from amazing teachers like Mandy Steward and Michael Nobbs later in the month…but you’ve got a good place to start.
love the beautiful rose…and you…
