The Amazing Karen Glass

I had the chance to read and review Consider This by Karen Glass.  If you are at all interested in the connection between the classical tradition and the work of Charlotte Mason, then Karen’s book is essential reading.  Above all she is a sensitive and expansive reader and she approaches both classical texts and the 6 volumes of Charlotte Mason’s writing with openness, wit, and charity.  You can read my full review at Curriculum Choice.

It’s with this same humble yet expansive attitude as a reader that Karen is reading through Norms and Nobility by David Hicks throughout this year at the free Ambleside Online forums.  I feel like listening to the questions she asks and the way she responds to others in the forum is like taking a master class in teaching.  She is a generous, thoughtful reader who is approaching this text with grace.  It’s astounding to witness.  Come read along (slowly) with us!
