Before Thanksgiving
Where we live, after Martinmas and the time change, the weather seems to settle into colder and wetter days. And this year has followed that pattern. Every bit of sun, or even grey skies without rain, is used to rake leaves, walk to the library, see if our neighbor’s bunnies are out in their front yard.
Advent begins early this year–more about that right here! But first we will give thanks.
We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life;
but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ.
We’ve been reading Psalm 92 and singing these hymns all month. But now is the perfect time to start! The words are on the screen, so you don’t even need to print anything.
Extra points if you read Cranberry Thanksgiving and make some cranberry bread! We even found some cranberry facts. Did you know that cranberry bogs are flooded in the winter and ice forms over the plants? We were so excited and surprised to discover cranberry bogs in our neck of the woods!
It really is as simple as that! Sing together! Remember what went right. Be thankful.
