Hello there, I’m
Kortney.
I’m so glad you found your way to my neck of the woods.
I live with my family on a peninsula in the Northwest. Here on One Deep Drawer, I write about homeschooling through the church year. Our days are filled with stories and poems, nature walks, drawing, and pots of tea.
I worked in Guadalajara one summer and studied in London one fall. I served as an education volunteer in the Peace Corps deep in the Suriname rainforest. I worked on a team that built a cob house and had my babies in the water. These days, I stick closer to home, and try not to go to the library more than twice a week!
Recently, I started working a few hours a week as a virtual assistant. I really do love helping bloggers + other creatives streamline their workload.
If you click on the pictures at the bottom of the page, you can see photographs from the jungle and the desert where we built with cob. I’d love to hear from you in the comments or on Instagram or Twitter! But in the mean time, these are a few favorite posts to help you get a sense of what I keep in my one deep drawer:
