april one::a beginning

first off, it’s Poetry Month, and i’ll be celebrating heartily.  watch for a bit o’ verse almost every day.  here are a few verses from today’s Psalms:

lead me to the rock that is higher than i

be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart all ye that hope in the Lord

and she will be like a tree planted by the river of water, that bringeth forth her fruit in her season; her leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever she doeth shall prosper

i will lift up mine eyes unto the [West] Hills, from whence cometh my help.

throughout the month, i’ll also be praying scripture for my children using this wonderful calendar from Inspired to Action.  i had seen a similar calendar at Path Made Straight, but i had trouble printing it.  so i was happy to find it again.  and while i’m thinking about it, Tonia wrote with amazing honesty and grace about the perseverance of a mama’s love.  these prayers for courage and faith aren’t only for today; we are praying for the adults our children are becoming.
