we get to keep our friends
beautiful, no? i love the look of the painted wood and shiny black appliances. and the light pouring in. but this is not our new kitchen. this kitchen is in a lovely, tiny house farther up the peninsula. a house that would have needed a car to go with it. lucky for us, our neighbors just across the driveway are moving to Indiana. so we’ll be walking all our stuff across the gravel and moving into their place.
the kitchen over there is not very inspiring. but the place does have its charms…including a lovely view of the bridge. and i would be remiss if i didn’t tell you how much i am looking forward to a dishwasher. (don’t tell tonia!)
but the best part of moving to our new place is that it keeps us in place. it keeps us in St Johns, keeps us within walking distance of work and groceries and books and the water. and it keeps us close to our wonderful neighbors. like Mabel said, we get to keep our friends.
a beautiful comment by Mabel, and I can’t wait to see the view of the bridge…there is always change.
