dinner in late summer (with friends and family)

2 September 2012 by Kortney

feeding a household is not an achievement that can be checked off and set aside to make room for other pursuits.  feeding a household is an act of faithfulness, one that requires daily energy and attention and whose pleasures and rewards are experienced in the course of that faithfulness rather than only at the end.

–Margaret Kim Peterson in Making a Home

our menu:

chips and salsa

pizza (ordered out)

composed salad a la Leila with vegetables from our community supported agriculture

vanilla-biscuit summer peach cobbler (so, so simple and good)
