the family and home are meant to be the environment where human beings can find shelter, warmth, protection, and safety in each other.  (44)

the family should be the place where each new human being can have an early atmosphere conducive to the development of constructive creativity.  (57)

the family is the place where

loyalty,

dependability,

trustworthiness,

compassion,

 sensitivity to others,

thoughtfulness,

and unselfishness

are supposed to have their roots.  someone must take the initiative and use imagination to intentionally teach these things.  (83)

day to day living in the midst of an outpouring of love is needed through months and years if love is to be a part of the warp and woof of a person.  (88)
