Good Fences

Two bright rays of sunshine from our neighbors yesterday.

On one side neighbors were getting a new washer and dryer delivered.  That meant big men parked a big truck in front of our house for a half hour or so.  Joseph sat on the porch and watched and waved the whole time!  Then we asked for one of the appliance boxes.  The children immediately started decorating it and making it into an Ewok House.  It was May the Fourth (Be With You!) after all.

Then our neighbor on the other side came by to let us know that he was going to be replacing the sagging fence between our lots.  His whippets pushed through a board and escaped on Sunday.  When I offered to pay for half of the materials, he waved me off.  So, an unexpected gift fell into our laps.

Good fences make good neighbors.
