A Poem for Your Pocket

The first time I ever celebrated Poem in Your Pocket Day, I had a brand new baby, and dear friends sent poems for each of us. Mine was a lovely piece from Wendell Berry. That baby just turned fourteen.

This year, there’s another kind of sweetness. A poem that I wrote has been published in tiny wren lit. You can see all the poems in Issue 4. You can also print a copy, fold up the one page zine, and slip it in your pocket. (My poem is on page 3.)

Everything about tiny wren lit feels just right–from the colors to design and editorial choices. And what a gift at the tail end of Poetry Month! Makes me want to print out my favorite ever 7 Gifts list from Ann Voskamp to welcome with gratitude the new season and the new month.
