a fine morning

16 August 2012 by Kortney

the peaches are ripe on the island.

so that meant a trip to our favorite farm to visit old friends.

we picked 50 pounds of fruit and have some good work ahead of us to get it preserved for winter.  then we enjoyed a snack in the shade offered by the trees in the orchard.

:: new books up at goodreads this morning too ::

Wow! What a wonderful day. 50 pounds of fruit! I guess there will be lots of jam and preserves for the winter. It looks like you had lots of fun. I have given away over 100 vegetables and still going. Today I took bananas to Mrs. Johnson and yesterday Jack and I shared a banana from the tree. He picked a tomato and ate it for lunch!
