Springtime Nature Pals

In February I had the chance to review Lynn Seddon’s excellent book Exploring Nature with Children.  At the time we were knee deep in Winter, only taking short walks on the brightest days.  But now it’s warming up, and so far this year fairly dry.  We are spending more and more time outside.  In fact I made it one of our homeschooling goals to take our school workout and about at least once a week. I also want to get out our pack of Nature Study Printables from Spell Outloud to take along.

Lynn is organizing a Nature Swap this Spring.  Sign ups start on April 17th.  The week after that, Lynn will contact you with details for your exchange.  Then you can head out and find what’s local to you and prepare a package for your friend!  You can read more about it on Lynn’s blog.

Looking forward to this opportunity to look with fresh eyes at what’s local to us and what might be an interesting treat to someone living in another climate.
