we can pop more corn; we can brew more tea!

this morning we watched a sweet video reading of the book Bear Snores On.  then the children dispersed and i thought they had moved on to other things.  little did i know.

they collected various stuffed animals to play each of the characters in the story.  they made a lair for the bear to sleep in.  and then they started to play.  then i heard the line, “we can pop more corn; we can brew more tea!”  i told them we really could pop some corn and make some tea.  we had almonds and chocolate chips too, in place of Badger’s honey nuts.  in just a few minutes, we shared a  simple and lovely feast!
